There are a few different ways I can look at where I'm at in this pregnancy.
I can either view it as "30 weeks down, 10 to go", "3/4 of the way there", or "25% remaining". I find that 10 weeks left scares the crap out of me whereas looking at it as having 25% or 1/4 left to go seems like longer. I can also look at it as a Spring Break, 2 rotations, and a campus week which also scares me because that means Ryan won't be around for much of what is left.
No matter how you slice it, things are fast approaching the time where I need to feel more ready for baby Buchan to join us than where I am today.
The nursery is coming along nicely. Just need to get things up on the walls (including painting some frames), unpack the things we've acquired so far and sort them out, make sure we have the essentials, and redo some lighting. Ok, now I'm freaked out about how far behind I feel on the nursery.
I also feel like I have some reading to catch up on. There are books to prepare for this whole breastfeeding thing, ones to get us ready for healthy sleep/eat/play habits, and I could use a refresher of what to expect in the delivery room (considering I've been witness twice but never the main act).
Luckily I still feel great. Baby Buchan is moving around a lot and causing some discomfort but nothing like what I hear is common for 7.5 months along. Hopefully that discomfort will continue to delay so I can cross some more stuff off my ever-growing task list.
Here's a catch up on my burgeoning belly:
