Sleeping In

Lately Foster's morning routine has gotten a little shaken up. He sleeps consistently through the night until 7:30 or 8 in the morning and at the same time Ryan has been working nights and sleeping in during the morning. This makes it very hard to get up to feed Foster while sitting in the rocking chair in his room and then put him back to bed.

Instead, either Ryan or I will go and grab him in the morning when he starts to wake up. We'll take him through his morning stretches and then bring him into our bed. I'll feed him and fall in and out of sleep for about 30-40 minutes and then the three of us (plus typically 2 cats) will sleep together as a family as we laze away the morning. Usually Foster will wake back up again around 9:30 or 10 and I'll feed him again and then we all get up for the day. It's been such a luxury and we've all really enjoyed the time together...except for maybe the cats who really don't understand why they are not allowed to walk on Foster like they do to us.
