Dear Foster,
This month seemed to fly by, probably because we've been so busy! You're still with me each day when I go to work but now we're going to Nana and Grandpa's house some days and Omee and Papa Chuchu's house on the other days. Every Thursday you get to spend the day with your cousin Sable because she's spending time with Omee too. It's going to be so fun to see you two grow up together. It's great to be able to work from where you are, but hard to focus on things when you're giggling in the next room - I just want to run in and see what you're doing! Daddy has been studying hard all month for his big test coming up. I'm looking forward to the two of you getting to spend time during the day together in November before he starts work at his new job on December 9.
It seems like you may be getting some teeth coming in, either that or you've caught a few colds this month. You want to be cheerful all the time but every once in a while it seems like your teeth are bugging you a little too much and you'll squeal out and then grab whatever (or whomever) is nearby and bite down like a little dog, shaking your head back and forth. Once you had a fever but for the most part it seems to be just the occasional fuss, some extra drool, and a bit more congestion. It will be so different to see your little gummy smile replaced by one with chompers.
Fall is upon us and the nights are getting longer and the days a bit more crisp. Bill and I took you to your first football tailgater to cheer on the Huskies. After the party we walked alllll the way from the stadium back home. You slept much of the way, either in your stroller or strapped to me. It was nice to spend the day together and to have the excuse of cuddling while you took your naps. Some day I'm sure grandpa or I will take you to the game itself and not just leave after the tailgate, but for now you don't seem to mind missing out. I'm still so impressed every time you spend a long day out and about how well you just roll with what we have planned for you. You're so flexible and easygoing I feel like we're taking advantage of what a good kid you are.
Speaking of testing your easygoing nature, tomorrow you get to go on your very first plane ride to go down and see Uncle Mark and Aunt Kris in California! Daddy and I are so excited to introduce you to them, you need to start making a good impression so they'll take you to Disneyland some day when you're older.
I love, love, love you,
Mom
