Double Island

Foster took his first trip out to Double Island with us to celebrate a summer weekend. Christy and Dave were able to join as well and we had a great time. We spent our evenings reading and sleeping in one of the small cabins and our days were spent touring the island, relaxing down on the beach or making the next delicious meal. It was fun to have Foster out to the islands, I'm hoping we can get him out there every year, it's a special treat for us to get to share that with him.

It was great to get Christy and Dave out there as well. Dave has been really into sailing lately so it was fun to take him out on Double Time, the Brown's really nice boat. He was a bit spoiled, but enjoyed every bit of it.

Foster slept through the nights pretty well in the bunks that are out in the cabins, and I kept a bottle nearby so if he did wake up we were able to get him back to sleep pretty quickly. The first night I wasn't so prepared and so I had to make a mad dash at 3am back to the main house to grab a bottle from the fridge. Not really the best way to wake up during a relaxing weekend. I'm hoping that he starts sleeping through the nights better again soon.
