Easter

This Easter was the first one where I felt like Foster could really participate. It was a lot of fun to think about future holidays where he'll be excited to go to bed, knowing that in the morning there will be an Easter basket or a stocking for him. It makes the holidays so much more fun. We started this year with dying eggs with the Kuders. Foster was of course a little worried about the mess that was made when coloring eggs and was constantly pointing to small bits of his fingers that had become discolored. This kid is going to be in a world of hurt if his little brother is at all messy.

All and all he had a great time playing with the kids and really liked the colors that were in the bowls...as long as it wasn't on his hands.

The next morning his Easter basket was waiting. He was pretty excited about the little orange chick that lights up when you smack it (which sounds awful when I type it that way...) and thought that the super soft dinosaur was deserving of many hugs. The books that Nana, Grandpa, Omee and ChuChu gave got a good once over as well. But nothing was as appreciated as the little chocolate bunnies that were in the basket.

He only had one for Easter and the others were saved for later. He thought this was a poor decision but didn't fight it too much. Looks like if he inherited Ryan's genes for overindulging on holidays he also got mine for self-moderation.
