I'm a little worried about Foster's peer pressure skills. He doesn't approach the things he wants like other kids. Rather than coming into a room and announcing, 'I want to watch TV!' he'll instead ask a series of questions in an excited and sweet voice;
"Daddy, come here, I want to show you something. Do you see that biiiiiiig TV?"
"Do you think there are monnnnster trucks on that TV Daddy?"
"Do you want to see?"
The same story plays out if he wants you to do something. Rather than demand that I give him something he'll say something like, 'but you can just give me a little milk'.
The other day I had gotten no sleep the night before and I was pretty tired and cranky.
Foster: "Do you want to play monnnnnster trucks momma?"
Me: "No, I'm tired...I really do NOT want to play monster trucks"
Foster: "But do you want to play monster trucks now?"
Me: "No, I still don't want to play monster trucks. You can play with them."
Foster brings a monster truck over to me and spins the wheels
Foster: "oh! Look how the wheels spin momma, can YOU make the wheels spin momma?"
I seriously feel like I need to warn his future girlfriends, this kid has skills.
