"Our New House"

The Buchans have moved!

We bought a new place in Kenmore and have decided to keep the old place in Seattle as a rental. Foster quickly became accustomed to referring to them as 'our new house' and 'our old house'. He really only had about a night of transition before he seemed completely at home sleeping in his new room.

Foster also decided that he wanted to share a room with Shep (hooray!!). That means more brother time, but also means that Ryan and I get to have an office upstairs. I'm really excited about the idea of the two of them talking into the night, reading books in bed, and some day having bunk beds. I'm sure it will all be blissful. I painted mountains on one wall of the room, and Foster decided he wanted the other wall to be green like a forest. So we painted it green and added in 'tree trunks' but putting up planks of wood.

I'm excited for the boys to have more space, but sad that they won't have our old front yard to play in anymore. I loved the trails for them to run in and explore. The nice thing is that we have even more trails just down the street at St. Edwards State Park now. For now I'm just trying to figure out how to manage them in the more space that we have as Shep gets more comfortable with walking and I can no longer see them from anywhere in the house.
